Having been born and raised in Southern California, I’ve never experienced true seasonal change. Often Thanksgiving is so warm we might as well celebrate at the beach, and by December we’re begging for the heatwave to be over. So when it truly gets cold I can’t wait to pull out my winter coats.

We traveled to Lake Arrowhead, a few hours away with some friends before Thanksgiving as a little relaxing getaway before the holiday craziness started. I was so excited to wear my (you guessed it!) pink winter coat. The joke was on me, I barely needed my warm items, but I wore it anyway!
