After a long weekend of fun, (two destination weddings in one weekend!) I naturally had to squeeze in one more outing. Seven Magic Mountains is a site specific, public sculpture. This artwork’s bold colors are a beautiful contrast against the natural desert landscape. It really pops out from the drab colors of the desert. Towering at 32 feet tall, these colorful rocks are breathtaking. Ugo Rondinone is mixed-media Swiss born artist with sculptural artworks all over the world. It was definitely a sight to see!
I Want Candy
Just when you think you’ve been to all the colorful pop up experiences, another one, well, pops up. This one was of the candy variety with meticulously laid jellybean paintings depicting famous paintings, to colorful interactive beach scenes and a giant marshmallow pit (my favorite).
If you ever wanted to kiss a giant candy shark, or sit in an oversized 100; here’s your chance!
My hopes for a Charlie and the Chocolate Factory experience fell a little short. I wasn’t expecting Oompa Loompas or anything, but I think my hopes were too grandiose. However it was still fun, and the location being in Santa Monica was a nice change from DTLA. And to be honest any excuse to dress in theme is a win in my book!
A Splash of Color

Capture Your Happy
In honor of The Happy Place reopening, I thought it fitting to post about my experience from the first opening. (I can’t believe I didn’t post these sooner!) Happy Place is a fun and well, happy place. Each room has a different theme, all lighthearted, positive and fun. I invited a few of my best girls to join in on the festivities. Heres a few of my favorite rooms.
This was my favorite room, or feature. It was like being in a giant snow globe filled with blowing confetti!
I left out pictures from a few rooms, so there are still surprises, plus the new location has mixed it up. So there are still surprises! For optimal pictures I’d highly recommend wearing bright colors and lots of lipstick 🙂
Outfit details: vintage turquoise dress / pink sparkle tassel earrings
